Afro House Anthem  “GYAL,” is a cross-continental collaboration between London artist and curator Manu, Bermuda native DJ/producer Korie Minors, and Caribbean-born, now UK based artist Merchant.

The song has already earned early support from fellow artists like Francis Mercier, Kitty Amor, Alex Wann, Fiona Kraft, and others.

“This record is something that is truly unique and special to all of us as artists and to the genre of Afro House,” says Jamaican born Merchant.

“GYAL” represents the sonic evolution of a genre that’s exploded across the globe, by being forward but also rooted in the core of all of our cultures. Having the vocal be in patois is particularly special to me, not only because I am Jamaican, but because it also highlights Jamaica’s wide ranging cultural impact.”

The the track pairs layered percussion and deep, rolling basslines with an infectious Jamaican vocal hook—capturing the energy of a peak-hour Ibiza dancefloor with undeniable global appeal.

Manu shares that “this is a production that crosses genres, cultures, and styles.

With “GYAL” we created something original and we hope that it provides an experience people want to feel over and over.”

Manu is the founder of tastemaker label Klub Record and a champion of Afro House across Europe.

He’s built a following of over 200k fans, playing a pivotal role in bringing together dedicated fans and newcomers to Afro House, sharing a niche sound in a dependable and palatable way which everyone can identify with via the label and his Deep Sounds podcast.

Korie Minors has built an impressive career – not only curating events such as AfroJam, but also working and performing with brands and organizations such as Soho House, St. Regis, Bermudian Government and more.
