  • Danni Gato Brings Three Generations of Cape Verdean Artists Together as he Features Nelson Freitas and Djodje on Afro House Single “Where Are You”

Danni Gato Brings Three Generations of Cape Verdean Artists Together as he Features Nelson Freitas and Djodje on Afro House Single “Where Are You”

Lusophone music reaches a new dimension with “Where Are You”, the track by Danni Gato featuring Nelson Freitas and Djodje.

“Where Are You” brings together three generations and three artistic visions in a single beat, marking the culmination of mutual admiration spanning decades. Danni Gato, the leading name in Cape Verdean House Music, meets his lifelong idols: Nelson Freitas and Djodje, two Cape Verdean legends who have shaped not only his career but an entire generation of Lusophone artists.

“Having Nelson and Djodje on this track is a childhood dream come true. They were the voices that accompanied me when I began to understand what I wanted to do with music. Now, producing for them feels like closing a circle,” says Danni Gato.

The track represents the natural evolution of Afro House in a more electronic and international direction.

It is the sound of three artists at the peak of their creative powers, united by mutual respect that resonates in every beat, melody, and verse.

But “Where Are You” goes beyond music.

“Danni represents everything that’s best about the new generation. Seeing how he honors our roots while creating something completely new is inspiring. This track proves that our culture is in good hands,” emphasizes Nelson Freitas.

“This collaboration represents everything we are: a musical family without borders. Danni brought a fresh energy to our voices, and we brought the soul he always sought. ‘Where Are You’ is Cape Verde in 2025,” adds Djodje.

The track’s production team represents the best of the scene: Danni Gato and Rizzo on production, with Pedro Serraninho on mix and master—the most respected names in today’s music landscape.

The music video, directed by Eva Mina and featuring actor Igor Regalla, takes a bold conceptual approach: the artists themselves do not appear in the video. Instead, the piece critiques contemporary screen-dependent society, creating a powerful contrast between the humanity of music and the digital coldness of our times.

    ABOUT DANNI GATO:

DJ and producer Gato, was born in Faro with Cape Verdean roots, he transformed the soulful rhythms of morna and coladeira into a universal electronic language.

    ABOUT DJODJE:

British Cypriot Artist A!MS Introduces a Fresh Genre with his New Album ‘Peak Season’ Featuring Julian Marley, Others

British Cypriot artist A!MS is introducing a fresh genre to the game with his new album Peak Season

Featuring Julian Marley, ArrDee, Ramz and more, the 9-track LP debuts A!MS’ new ‘Global Street’ sound, channeling the rebellious spirit of pirate radio while fusing it with his Mediterranean cultural roots and Cypriot/Lebanese/Italian DNA.

Global Street, or Street Global, “depending how street or how global you want it to sound” is a new genre for the outsiders, a sound identity for those beyond traditional industry definitions. Rooted in hip hop and UK garage, A!MS says “it’s built for the

creators of today – influencers, streamers, sneaker collectors, and more – and shaped by the idea that the next global star can come from anywhere. It’s a genre that breaks the limits others try to impose, where music is timeless, art is limitless, and the power is back in the hands of the people.”

Co-produced hitmaking duo Cool & Dre, the album also boasts productions credits from Antaeus, Michelin Shin, Golden and others

The project comes to life through a series of star-studded tracks; ‘Light & Love’, a collaboration with the iconic Julian Marley, Antaeus, and Hypertone, delivers a bold message of unity and upliftment. Another highlight is ‘Need Somebody’ with UK chart-topper ArrDee, oozing with infectious Afrobeat energy.

The Peak Season album was made in Cyprus, a place described by A!MS as a “music industry desert”. This gave A!MS space away from London’s hustle to find his own sound.

He describes it as his version of what Jamaica was for Bob Marley: a creative haven, free from noise and influence, where something truly global could be born.

In the build-up to the album this summer, A!MS is once again hosting a series of his hugely popular Wave Fests at WaterWorld WaterPark in A!MS’ current base of Ayia Napa in Cyprus. This year, revellers will be treated to sets by ‘Need Somebody’ feature artist ArrDee, Lil Pump, B Young, Dappy, Oxlade, Ramz, Wiley, ZieZie and A!MS himself. This unique multi-sensory event boasts The Biggest Sound System in the Mediterranean and has received TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award.

Through this period, Duncan Mighty reminded the industry of his legendary talent and cemented his place as a living legend of Afrobeats.

This, without doubt, stands as one of the greatest comebacks in Afrobeats history.

American Artist jcSubterfuge Shares Electronic Music Single “Obsession” Inspired by his Experience with an Overenthusiastic Fan

American artist jcSubterfuge has released a new single “Obsession” loosely based on his experience with a fan who frequently tried to communicate with him on social media and even showed up at his shows with strange gifts for him.

“Please understand that I am extremely happy if even one person likes one of my tracks but calling me their babe on Social Media, etc. on a daily basis is a bit creepy,” jcSubterfuge explains.

“Needless to say I had to politely ask her to stop and you can hear my interpretation of how the conversation went about 2 minutes, 55 seconds into the track.”

  • French-British Artist LX8 Releases “Ghosts of Sound – TANIT TRANCE ANTHEM”

French-British Artist LX8 Releases “Ghosts of Sound – TANIT TRANCE ANTHEM”

LX8 has just released “Ghosts of Sound – TANIT TRANCE ANTHEM”, a euphoric dance track of synth pads, darbouka drum, Berber flute and oud, steeped in the sensory Mediterranean soundscape of ancient Carthage and its Phoenician goddess Tanit.

A mystical sonic journey from coastal Lebanon to the Maghreb and the island of Ibiza, immersing listeners into the science fiction world of the alternative history novel series THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES, created and written by Henry Chebaane, the artist behind the LX8 (Life x Infinity) project.

This new mix of his cult dance track GHOSTS OF SOUND is an arm-waving, euphoric trance number that comes in two flavours: a six-minute sprawling club mix and a shorter radio edit of four minutes. Both tracks form part of a forthcoming double LP, a concept album steeped in the lore of his graphic novels.

The song Ghosts of Sound is the title of vol.2 in the graphic novel series, due to be published early 2026 by SUPANOVA MEDIA. This second book and related songs follow on from the acclaimed first novel TIMES OF LONDON, published in 2023.

THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES narrate the story of Alex Campbell, a multi-cultural female music composer who struggles with a conflicted identity, a traumatic past and repressed supernatural abilities while fighting a violent supremacist cult through Time.

In the novel Ghosts of Sound, Alex – a DJ and EDM producer, travels back to the 19th century and uses electronic dance music to boost the courage of a community of immigrants fighting off a tyrannical imperialist power.

The novel is a blend of science-fiction, horror, and alternative history that invites questions about contemporary social issues; spiced by hints of humour, pop culture and references that will appeal to dance music lovers of all genres.

LX8 is the musical alias for French-British songwriter, artist, author, filmmaker and designer Henry Chebaane.

A recent arrival on the EDM scene, LX8 music style defies easy description but can be summarised as a “sonic quest into the human consciousness and the nature of reality.” A fan of house and trance music of the last four decades, LX8 wants to keep these sounds alive and inclusive for a new generation of global listeners from all cultures.

The concept double LP is a sonic exploration of The Panharmonion Chronicles story and its speculative universe, blending euphoric trance and melodic techno with dark cinematic drama, layered sound design and experimental synth textures.

As an award-winning multimedia storyteller, Henry Chebaane also produces and directs his own videos, often set in locations he has designed himself.
