VOS has released “JABULA,” an Afro House track built around a four-on-the-floor rhythm, log drums, shakers, hand percussion and a rolling bassline.
The song uses Zulu-inspired call-and-response vocals, with the word “jabula” meaning “to be happy” or “to rejoice” in Zulu. The vocal arrangement moves from a lead chant into a repeated refrain that is answered by a crowd.
The accompanying music video follows a group of dancers across a single night, beginning with one person dancing alone before gradually bringing more people into the scene. The video was created, produced and visually directed by VOS.

MENTAVIBE blends Afro-Pop and Afro-House on “SALALA”
Independent music project MENTAVIBE has released “SALALA”, a track combining Afro-Pop, Afro-House and electronic dance music.
Produced and written by Juergen Joe Bauer, the song is built around percussion-led rhythms, electronic production and Swahili vocal hooks. Its arrangement combines melodic elements with a steady dance-oriented groove.
“SALALA” is part of MENTAVIBE’s broader approach of combining African-inspired rhythms and Swahili lyrics with contemporary electronic production.
The project is created and produced independently by Bauer.

Yataro has released “Ki Ba Ba,” an Afro House track dedicated to his father.
The song combines a relaxed dance pulse with soulful vocals from Wagathoni. Its production is built around rhythmic grooves and a steady Afro House foundation, while the vocal performance adds another layer to the track.
“Ki Ba Ba” is presented as a personal dedication to Yataro’s father, giving the song a more intimate context beyond its dance-oriented production.
Yataro’s recent catalogue includes releases such as “You’re My Star,” “Mírame, Mírame,” “Ven y Ataca Taca” and “Eivissa Sun.”

Aruhtra and Deeprule have released an Afro House remix of Steve Monite’s “Shake Your Booty,” reworking the Nigerian artist’s original with a contemporary electronic production.
The remix retains Monite’s vocal performance while introducing rolling percussion, bass-heavy rhythms and warm synths. The production shifts the song toward Afro House, giving the original a more club-oriented arrangement.
Monite is best known for “Only You,” his 1984 cult classic which has remained a reference point in Nigerian pop music and was later covered by Frank Ocean. “Shake Your Booty” comes from the same period of Monite’s catalogue.
The new version, titled “Shake Your Booty (Aruhtra & Deeprule Remix),” brings together Monite with producers Aruhtra and Deeprule.
