Afrobeats Artist T-Scope Celebrates the Lagos Hustle Culture on “Wowo”

“Wowo” by T-Scope is a vibrant Afrobeats anthem inspired by Lagos hustle culture.

With energetic production, catchy melodies, and motivational lyrics, the track celebrates hard work, smart work, and the street-smart pursuit of success.

Inspired by the relentless hustle of Lagos, from the chaotic buzz of bus parks to the vibrant chaos of markets and the soul-soothing aroma of bukas, WOWO captures the spirit of those who work hard and smart to carve out a living. “It’s about the duality of effort and ingenuity,” T-Scope  declares, reflecting real-life observations of Nigeria’s hustle culture. .

Born Babatunde Olamilekan Hamzat, T-Scope’s story is one of grit and groove. An orphan who turned pain into power, he’s risen from humble roots to become a beacon of hope through music. His sound, a fiery blend of Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, and Afro-pop, carries the weight of his journey, every note a testament to resilience.

The name T-Scope is a nod to his childhood, fusing “Tunde” (from Babatunde) with “Scope,” a nickname given to him by his friends.
