Sophia Brusasco had spent much of her life learning to express her inner life through music, but when she debuted the Winthrop persona, she was able to truly tap into her authenticity for the first time.
Across five genuinely unpredictable tracks, she fully realizes the potential hinted at by her first singles. While a lifelong fascination with trap and dubstep has always been at the heart of her sound, these new songs also showcase a keen pop sensibility.
âIt may be confusing, but thatâs by design,â she says. âThese songs came from some confusing situations.â
The EPâs title track is perhaps the most poignant of the producerâs young career. Itâs her most intricately produced, layering her vocals into a mesmerizing sound.

British DJs Rich and Jamie who are collectively known as Audiojack, are tapping into nostalgia with their new single â9pm  at the dinerâ which was inspired by classic American movies of the 80s.Â
âItâs the sort of track we might play at an outdoor summer party as the sun goes does, feelgood vibes all round,â Audiojack explains.Â
âThe idea for 9pm At The Diner was born when we came across the dusty old chords sample, which reminded us of classic 80s movies, and conjured up feelings of an imagined American youth, riding around on BMXs, going for milkshakes and burgers at the diner etc, so we kept that nostalgic vibe in mind and created the track around that theme.

South African Afro House DJ Dubby G releases his latest single “She Walks Into the Night,” an atmospheric AfroTech House journey blending deep tribal rhythms with moody melodic synths and soul-stirring vocals.
Inspired by the mystery and resilience of women who find strength in solitude, “She Walks Into the Night” narrates a cinematic soundscape – where the darkness becomes a dancefloor and silence speaks through basslines.
“This track is about transformation,” says DJ Dubby G. “It celebrates those moments when you walk alone but feel more alive than ever – like the night is your stage, and the beat is your voice.”
Building on the momentum of previous successful releases like “Ngithanda Wena” and “Runaway Train,” DJ Dubby G continues to push AfroHouse boundaries with a futuristic tech twist.

Known for her for her soft, radiant presence and pop-soul ballads, French singer MaĂ«va Fischer returns where no one expected: âHold Onâ, a sensual, raw, and magnetic fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano.
The pianistâs and songwriterâs release features four original songs and a fresh take on a Jim Croce classic.
Horton is releasing one song a month from the EP, starting in April, with the last song being released in August.
Leading the EP is Set âMe Freeâ, a song born from personal transformation and letting go. âIâm grateful for my divorce,â Horton says. âWithout it, Iâd never have written âSet Me Freeâ, which is about loving someone enough to let them go.â
Next comes the upbeat, pop-country anthem âString Around My Fingerâ, the tale of a songwriter choosing love over Nashville. Horton nods to his musical heroes in the lyrics: âIâm playinâ covers at olâ Joeâs every Wednesday night / Elton John, Johnny Cash, and a little John Prine.â
The EP also includes âOperatorâ, a reimagined version of Jim Croceâs 1972 classic. âAs a songwriter, I never thought Iâd cover someone else,â Horton says, âbut I wanted to bring something new to this song.â
âNever Know Whyâ is a passionate duet with Vesper Stockwell, Hortonâs musical collaborator and partner. The EP closes with a reworked version of Space and Time, Hortonâs 2023 single about someone asking for space as a way of ending a relationship.
Imperfections follows The Tokyo Sessions, a four-song EP of Japanese music written by Horton, who is bilingual, while living in Tokyo. That project will be promoted in Japan starting in mid-2025.
