Canadian folk singer Phil Andrew has released a new single titled “Same,” a deeply personal track inspired by real-life experiences of chaos, persistence, and creative resilience during its own production process.
In his own words, “Same” reflects a period in which life remained unpredictable even throughout the recording, mixing, and mastering stages of the song. Despite the challenges, the project became a meaningful creative outlet, recorded in his home studio in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
The single also highlights Andrew’s long-term dedication to music. After decades of playing and nearly a decade of focused learning and songwriting, he describes a consistent creative drive that has led to multiple completed albums he is now preparing to release. According to the artist, inspiration remains a constant force in his work, shaping both his writing process and his continued return to music creation.
