His single “SLICK” was submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance. Released in July 2026, the song marked a shift towards a more dance-oriented sound compared with the introspective themes of his earlier work. It reached No. 1 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.

Victony’s submissions also include Best New Artist, a category recognising emerging recording artists. His previous releases include the albums “Stubborn” (2024) and “STARLIFE,” as well as the 2025 project “Very Stubborn.”

The entries are submissions for consideration, not confirmed nominations. The Recording Academy’s voting members determine the nominees through its first-round voting process. Nominations for the 2027 Grammy Awards are scheduled to be announced on November 16, 2026, ahead of the ceremony on February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles.
