THRURAW, an Afro House project from independent French label Imago Sound Music, has released its debut single, “Malembe”.
Released on October 23, 2026, the track blends Afro House and Afrobeats influences, combining organic percussion, guitar, piano and warm synth pads with female vocals sung in Lingala.
“Malembe” means “slowly” or “gently” in Lingala. The song builds around this idea through its steady rhythm and gradual progression, with lyrics delivered in the Congolese language.
The release was composed, written, arranged and produced by Dany Sharp, whose real name is Daniel Jabot. A session vocalist performed the song, with the Lingala lyrics adaptation also handled by the vocalist.
THRURAW is a project developed by Imago Sound Music, an independent record label based in Antibes on the French Riviera. “Malembe” marks its first single.
“Malembe” is available on streaming platforms.
