The Ken Okada Group ft. YOYOKA proudly announces the release of their third studio album, CROSSING OVER, a bold and dynamic work that captures the band’s evolving sound at the intersection of jazz, funk, rock and global influences.
Following a series of acclaimed live performances across the United States and Europe, including sold-out shows at SFJAZZ and appearances at major international festivals, CROSSING OVER represents both a musical milestone and a forward-looking statement from the band.
The album features:
Ken Okada – electric bass
YOYOKA – drums
Ben Torres – tenor sax
Hristo Vitchev – guitar
Murray Low – piano & keyboards
Shido Soma – guitar (featured on “Oops My Bad”)
The music is driven by Okada’s compositional vision, blending rhythmic sophistication with melodic storytelling. The presence of YOYOKA—whose global recognition as a young drumming phenomenon continues to grow—adds explosive energy and precision throughout the record.
“CROSSING OVER is about pushing past predictability,” says Okada. “In jazz, that’s one of the biggest challenges. You have to break out of familiar patterns and go somewhere new. This album reflects that process—and how the band itself continues to shape where the music goes next.”

Kings X Priests have unveiled Sunset Sermon (Deluxe), an immersive body of work that blends soulful house music with themes of faith, spirituality, and praise.
The deluxe album features 20 tracks that expand on the group’s now-signature sound: spiritual house music designed for both reflection and the dance floor.
Speaking on the vision behind the project, Dr Chad Mathinussen, founder of the Kings X Priests movement, explains:
“Sunset Sermon was never meant to be just an album. It’s a movement, a sound that creates space for people to encounter God in places they may not traditionally expect on the dance floor, at sunset, in moments of joy and surrender. House music has always been spiritual at its core, and this project is about reclaiming that truth.”
Dr Mathinussen adds that the deluxe edition was intentionally expanded to deepen the listener’s experience:
“The deluxe version allowed us to tell the full story, from praise and prayer to struggle, restoration, and victory. Every track is intentional. Whether someone is dancing, driving, or praying, this music meets them where they are.”
The project has already begun resonating beyond music circles. South African rugby icons Siya Kolisi and Vincent Tshituka sparked widespread attention after Kolisi shared the Kings X Priests song “Come Again” on Instagram. Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk has also publicly shown support for the album,

American band The Beat Generation continues to create music that not only makes the listener want to move and dance, but also to ponder a better way to treat each other, and ourselves.
Their new single “The Wave” was composed and performed by Lawrence White and recorded with Nigerian guitarist extraordinaire, Ayo Isreal who Mr. White has worked with often.
Influenced by philosophers Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell and scientists Carl Sagan and Alfred Einstein, Mr. White’s lyrics reflect on the vector of science, religion, and art, and how our actions today reflect our evolution into higher beings while the music seduces our senses with a killer groove.
