“It begins with Siyakuphi, a haunting question in Lalla’s native tongue: Where are we going? A raw reflection on a youth lost to addiction and silence — the echo of a world adrift, searching for direction, meaning, and a way back home.”
Then comes The Other Side, a luminous love song in English — a moment of warmth and intimacy where two souls mirror one another beyond time and borders. The trumpet of Julien Mercier runs parallel to the melody, like a distant signal, never overpowering, always present.
The EP closes with Lost in Harare, a powerful instrumental led by a striking dialogue between Motsek’s production and Mercier’s trumpet. Here, the brass takes center stage, soaring and searching, carrying the emotional weight of memory, longing, and release.

The hip-swaying uplifting melodic techno track is part of his forthcoming double LP, a concept album steeped in the lore of the graphic novel series THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES, also created and written by Henry Chebaane, the artist behind the LX8 (Life x Infinity) project.
The song “Ghosts of Sound” is the title of vol.2 in the graphic novel series, due to be published during Winter 2025 by Supanova Media. This second book and related songs follow on from the first novel TIMES OF LONDON, published in 2023.
THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES narrate the story of Alex Campbell, a multi-cultural female music composer who struggles with a conflicted identity, a traumatic past and repressed supernatural abilities while fighting a violent supremacist cult through Time.
In the novel Ghosts of Sound, Alex – a DJ and EDM producer, travels back to the 19th century and uses electronic dance music to boost the courage of a community of immigrants fighting off a tyrannical imperialist power.
The novel is a blend of science-fiction, horror, and alternative history that invites questions about contemporary social issues; spiced by hints of humour, pop culture and references that will appeal to dance music lovers of all genres.
LX8 is the musical alias for French-British songwriter, artist, author and designer Henry Chebaane. Inspired by the example of film director John Carpenter who also produces music and comics, LX8 has started his own musical journey, and “Ghosts of Sound” was his debut single in 2023.
Since then, he has released several more tracks of dance music with a wide variety of melodic techno vibes.
A recent arrival on the EDM scene, LX8 music style defies easy description but can be summarised as a “sonic quest into the human consciousness and the nature of reality.” A fan of house and trance music of the last four decades, LX8 wants to keep these sounds alive and inclusive for a new generation of global listeners from all cultures.
As an award-winning multimedia storyteller, Henry Chebaane also produces and directs his own videos, often set in locations that he has designed himself.
His first graphic novel “The Panharmonion Chronicles: Times of London” was published in 2023 by Supanova Media and has become a cult thriller with electronic music fans. His next novel in the same series is “Ghosts of Sound”, which is also the title of a forthcoming double album.
The concept double LP is a sonic exploration of The Panharmonion Chronicles story and its speculative universe, blending euphoric music and melodic techno with dark cinema.
