Nigerian singer L.A.X and his wife, Ella, held their Nikkah ceremony on Thursday, October 29, adding another celebration to their wedding festivities.
The ceremony follows several milestones in the couple’s relationship and marriage journey, which became public earlier this year.
L.A.X, whose real name is Damilola Afolabi, announced his engagement to Ella on January 16, 2026, after proposing during an outdoor riverside setup.
In his engagement post, the singer shared moments from their relationship, including their travels together and the date they began dating in May 2022.
The couple held their traditional introduction ceremony in Warri, Delta State, Ella’s hometown, in June. They later travelled to Naxxar, Malta, where they held their civil wedding on September 16. L.A.X announced the marriage on social media, describing himself as “legally hitched to the love of my life.”
The Nikkah ceremony marks another part of the couple’s wedding celebrations following their engagement, traditional ceremony and civil marriage.
