Beninese singer and five-time Grammy award winner, Angélique Kidjo, will become the first African artist in history to receive star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Kidjo,64, was one of recipients announced during a conference by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles, unveiling the Class of 2026 honourees.
A total of 34 global entertainment figures including Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O’Neal, Deepika Padukone, and Lea Salonga will be honoured at this year’s ceremony.
Other honourees on the 2026 list include Emily Blunt who’s set to reprise her role in the sequel to the beloved classic The Devil Wears Prada, Chef Gordon Ramsay, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Rami Malek and Josh Groban.
