EYAA releases new single “Luku Luku” about scrolling past headlines without context

French-Ghanaian trio EYAA has released “Luku Luku,” an Afro-electro track about the habit of scrolling through news and viral content without stopping to consider what lies behind it.

Sung in Twi, Pidgin and English, the song uses the repeated hook “Stukuluku luku luku” to mimic the motion of scrolling on a phone. Its lyrics contrast a street scene consumed as viral content with the political history and colonial exploitation that can be overlooked when events are reduced to social media clips.

The track combines highlife rhythms and Afrobeat influences with electronic production built around 808s, live drums, bass and synthesizers. The trio’s lineup consists of vocalist Kyekyeku, drummer Fred Faure and Kevin Bucquet, who handles bass, synthesizers and electronic instruments.

“Luku Luku” is the first in a planned series of five singles leading up to EYAA’s debut EP. The group released the track on October 2, 2026, the same night it shared a bill with BCUC at Atabal in Biarritz, France.

The song is available on streaming platforms.
