Miami-based artist Chuc Nova has released a new single, “X Times”, combining Afropop and hip-hop across melodic verses and a chorus that sits at the centre of the track.
The track reflects the overlap between the two genres, particularly in the way Nova approaches the contrast between the verses and chorus. Rather than introducing several different sections, “X Times” keeps its arrangement focused on the vocal and hook.
Chuc Nova is based in Miami, Florida, where he continues to develop music across Afropop and hip-hop.
