Guadeloupean artist Alex Alidor has released the new single “Aménotep,” a Caribbean groove track drawing from the musical traditions of Guadeloupe and the wider French Antilles.
The song incorporates elements of 1960s ballroom cadence, biguine and Afro-tropical rhythms, combining a playful vocal delivery with a swinging rhythm section and horn arrangements influenced by Latin American big bands.
“Aménotep” reflects Alidor’s approach to blending traditional Caribbean rhythms with contemporary production while maintaining a focus on groove and storytelling.
