Omar Jatta has released the new single “Sibo,” featuring singer Maude N’Diaye. The track combines R&B, soul and Afrobeats influences and addresses self-doubt, dreams and letting go.
Jatta incorporates Mandinka into the lyrics, connecting the song to his Gambian roots. He describes “Sibo” as a song about the process of moving past self-doubt and allowing yourself to pursue your ambitions.
“Sibo” precedes Jatta’s debut studio album, “Ñaato,” which is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026. The 13-track project brings together Afrobeats, rap, soul and electronic production, with songs reflecting experiences across Senegal, Gambia, France and Germany.
Jatta has Gambian and Senegalese roots and is based in Germany. He has performed at events including Summerjam, Hype Festival, Over The Border, Ruhr Reggae Summer, Africa Festival and Cosmo Festival.
