Tokyo-based producer MasaHY teams up with Nigerian artists Emage_way and HEIGHT for “SPARK Remix”, a cross-cultural collaboration that blends Afro-inspired rhythms with atmospheric hip-hop and futuristic production styles.
The remix builds on the original version of SPARK, which was initially released by MasaHY in collaboration with Emage_way. That first release established the foundation of the record, combining Afro-inspired grooves with atmospheric hip-hop textures and futuristic production influences.
The track sits at the intersection of several genres, combining Afro-driven grooves with elements of drill, ambient hip-hop, and modern electronic textures. Built around layered percussion and melodic atmospheres, “SPARK Remix”explores a sound that moves between introspective moments and more energetic, rhythm-focused sections.
The collaboration brings together three distinct artistic perspectives. MasaHY (pronounced “Masə eitʃ wai”)provides the production foundation, drawing from a wide palette that includes R&B, funk, jazz fusion, and dance-oriented sound design.
