South African singer Tyla paid tribute to the late music icon Lebo Mathosa for Halloween 2026, recreating one of the singer’s memorable looks.

Tyla channelled Mathosa in a leopard-print cut-out top and matching skirt, accessorised with bold statement jewellery and styled against an animal-print backdrop. The outfit echoes Mathosa’s distinctive fashion aesthetic and stage presence.

The Grammy-winning singer has made Halloween a yearly moment for pop-culture transformations, drawing inspiration from iconic figures and viral moments.

In 2024, Tyla dressed as Halle Berry’s character Sharon Stone from The Flintstones, recreating the animal-print look worn by the actress in the 1994 film.

In 2025, she recreated the viral laughing-girl meme associated with Nevaeh Johnson, complete with the familiar hairstyle and casual outfit.

For 2026, Tyla turned to a South African music legend, honouring Mathosa, who rose to fame as a member of the group Boom Shaka before launching a successful solo career.
