    Fireboy DML is hosting a virtual listening party for his album“ZUKO!” on the Lagos Live game, where players must solve a puzzle to win a ticket to the event at a virtual version of the singer’s mansion.

    “ZUKO!” is scheduled for release at midnight on Friday, October 16.

    The activation brings music promotion into the gaming environment, allowing players to engage with a release through an in-game challenge rather than a traditional listening party. Davido also has a presence in the game, with his house featured as the “OBO Mansion.”

    Artists can also pay ₦50,000 to have their songs played in the game, offering another option for music promotion through interactive digital spaces.

    Fireboy DML and 21 Savage attend Public School show at New York Fashion Week

    Nigerian singer Fireboy DML and Atlanta rapper 21 Savage were among the guests at Public School New York’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation during New York Fashion Week.

    The show took place on September 10 as designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne continued Public School’s return to the New York Fashion Week calendar. The label returned to the runway earlier this year after a seven-year absence from the traditional fashion schedule.

    21 Savage attended the presentation alongside Carmelo Anthony, having also appeared with the former NBA player at Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring 2027 show earlier that day. Swizz Beatz, Fabolous, Miles Caton, Julez Smith and several NBA players were also among the guests at Public School’s presentation.

    Fireboy DML was also photographed at the event, with Public School’s guest list bringing together musicians, athletes and figures from fashion and entertainment.

    The Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled “Living Proof,” marked another stage in Public School’s return under Chow and Osborne. The designers founded the New York label in 2008 and built its aesthetic around the intersection of streetwear, tailoring and New York culture.

    Rising Afrofusion artist VALOE, has released a new single titled “Sandalili.” 

    The track is a melodic Afro-fusion record influenced by the sonic styles of Tems, Fireboy DML, Rema, and Omah Lay.

    “Sandalili” leans into a smooth, mid-tempo Afrobeats foundation with soft synth elements, rhythmic percussion, and a focus on melody-driven vocals. 

    The song is built around themes of nostalgia, emotional distance, and memory, drawing from a childhood nursery rhyme in Eastern Nigeria that inspired its core concept.

    VALOE describes his sound as Afrofusion shaped by both West African and diaspora influences. Raised in Aba and now based in Atlanta, his music blends Afrobeats, R&B, and soul, with a focus on atmosphere and emotional delivery rather than heavy production or high-energy structure.

    “Sandalili” also references Aba, Nigeria through its cover art coordinates, grounding the release in VALOE’s hometown while presenting it within a more modern Afrofusion context.

    Cayzee Shares Fireboy DML-Inspired Love Song “For My Baby”

    UK-based Afrobeats singer and songwriter Cayzee has released a new love song “For My Baby” inspired by artists like Fireboy DML, King Promise and Camidoh.

    The Ghana native describes the song as a “heartfelt ode to real, gentle love — blending smooth Afrobeat rhythms with soulful melodies and reflective lyrics.”

     “For My Baby” was created during a moment of personal vulnerability, and I wanted the sound to feel just as intimate and soothing,” he explains.

    The track is a follow-up to Cayzee’s last  single “Hate To See You Cry” and part of a bigger story he’s building — bringing Afrobeat and soul together in fresh, melodic ways.
