  • Belgian Artist Lynvy Shares Remix of “Alive” by Ocin J

Belgian Artist Lynvy Shares Remix of “Alive” by Ocin J

Following the Afro-dance vibrancy of his single Worami, Belgium-based producer Lynvy returns with a dynamic new take on French artist Ocin J’s emotive track Alive, originally released on March 1, 2024, by French label Orange Machine.

Now reimagined through the lens of liquid Drum and Bass, Alive (Lynvy Remix) marks Lynvy’s first official remix—and a milestone moment in his journey as a music producer.

”I wanted to explore something completely new,” says Lynvy. “I’d been drawn to the emotional intensity of liquid DnB for a while, and Alive had that perfect core energy I felt I could evolve into something hopeful yet driving.”

The remix stays true to Ocin J’s evocative original while adding Lynvy’s signature touch: a Reese bassline, distorted lead, and classic break-driven drums that bring both movement and melodic warmth. Clocking in at 2 minutes and 45 seconds, the remix finds the sweet spot between radio-ready accessibility and underground energy.

”It’s exciting to see Alive take on a new life in the DnB space,” adds Ocin J. “Lynvy’s remix adds a completely different energy while staying emotionally true. That’s what a great remix does—it transforms without betraying.”

The remix came to life through Music We Trust, the artist collective co-founded by Lynvy and home to both emerging and established names in the electronic scene. “Music We Trust isn’t just a name—it’s a belief in the power of community,” explains Lynvy. “The connection with Ocin J happened through the collective, and it really embodies the spirit of creative collaboration we’re trying to foster.”

With over 200,000 total plays across platforms like Boomplay and Audiomack, Lynvy is quickly making his mark in the electronic music scene. This new remix fits seamlessly into genres such as liquid Drum and Bass, melodic electronic, and emotional DnB, appealing to listeners who enjoy immersive and genre-crossing productions.

“I spent weeks experimenting with different bass textures and atmospheric layers,” says Lynvy. “The hardest part was modernizing the sound without losing the soul of the original. The Reese bassline brought urgency, but I made sure to balance that with warmth and space.”

  • K-pop Star Senior Dunce Releases Debut Dance Single “City Centre” — A Euphoric Tribute to Outsiderhood and Urban Life

K-pop Star Senior Dunce Releases Debut Dance Single “City Centre” — A Euphoric Tribute to Outsiderhood and Urban Life

South Korean electronic artist Senior Dunce has released a brand new single titled “City Centre”, marking the official start of his artistic journey under this moniker.

Unlike his earlier melancholic works, this track is a vibrant, energetic dance number layered with nostalgia, rhythm, and identity.

The inspiration behind the title “City Centre” comes from his time living in Liverpool, UK. As a foreigner unfamiliar with the correct pronunciation, Senior Dunce mistakenly pronounced it “cent- ray” instead of the British “centre.” Rather than mocking him, his local Scouser friends embraced the mispronunciation and even adopted it themselves in solidarity — pointing out how even native Brits struggle to understand the thick Scouse dialect.

“Those were the days I felt completely lost yet deeply cared for,” says Senior Dunce. “I couldn’t sleep many nights, overwhelmed by my outsider identity. But my friends helped me feel seen — and that feeling is immortalized in this track.”

The music video for “City Centre” was produced by Muturn, a Korean dancer and video creator who has long collaborated with Senior Dunce. Though unaware of the song’s full lyrical meaning, Muturn resonated with the emotional energy of the track. Inspired by his own party-performance projects, he developed a unique visual interpretation that blends movement and atmosphere in ways that complement the music’s heartbeat.

Makaio Huizar Shares Hunting New Single “Stars”

American singer and songwriter Makaio Huizar has released his newest single, “Stars”, marking another emotional milestone in his fast-rising career.

The track opens with ambient organ chords that set an ethereal tone, gradually building as strings and distant percussion swirl around Makaio’s haunting vocal performance.

A reflection on the tension between hope and anxiety, “Stars” offers listeners a deeply intimate listening experience, one that’s both fragile and powerful.

At just 18 years old, Makaio has already built an impressive global fanbase since his 2023 debut.

With streaming numbers in the hundreds of thousands, he has become one of Arizona’s most promising young musical voices, known for his emotional vulnerability and honest lyrics.

“Stars is a reflection of how it feels to be caught between wanting more from life and fearing that it might not come,” said Huizar. “It’s about the silence in your head at night, the fears you don’t say out loud, and still finding a little light in the dark.”

Makaio’s previous singles have each highlighted his evolution as an artist. His breakout 2024 single What Am I Waiting For? — a heartbreak ballad about his first breakup — garnered over 135,000 streams on Spotify and gained radio play in the U.S. and across Europe. Follow-up singles like Town and Father further solidified his position in the indie and bedroom pop scenes, with Father debuting at 12,800 Spotify streams and earning praise for pushing Makaio outside his piano-led comfort zone into folk-pop territory.

With “Stars”, Makaio returns to his signature dreamy and reverberated vocal style while exploring more cinematic textures and lyrical depth.
