    Phyno and Wande Coal Recreate Historic Jimmy Carter and Olusegun Obasanjo Photograph in ‘Ndewo’ Video

    Nigerian artists Phyno and Wande Coal have recreated a historic photograph of former United States President Jimmy Carter and former Nigerian Head of State Olusegun Obasanjo in the music video for their collaboration, “Ndewo”.

    The original photograph dates back to October 11, 1977, when Obasanjo visited the United States during his time as Nigeria’s military Head of State. It was taken by White House staff photographers and is part of the Jimmy Carter White House Photographs Collection preserved by the US National Archives.

    The photograph captures a moment in the relationship between the two leaders, who later met again during Carter’s state visit to Nigeria from March 31 to April 3, 1978. The visit was the first state visit to sub-Saharan Africa by a sitting US president.

    The song brings together Phyno and Wande Coal, marking a collaboration between the two Nigerian artists. “Ndewo” was released on October 28, 2026.

    Tyla Explains Why She Chose Intimate Venues for ‘A*POP’ Tour

    South African singer Tyla has explained her decision to perform in smaller venues for her ongoing “A*POP” tour, saying she wants to connect more closely with fans.

    Speaking during a TikTok Live session, the singer said she had been asking her team for an opportunity to perform in more intimate settings after spending much of her time performing at festivals and larger shows following her rise to international recognition.

    “I love that all the venues are gonna be intimate. I’ve been begging my team for something like that because after I blew up, I went straight to festivals, big shows, and I love it, but I’ve always wanted to have that experience of performing in small venues and seeing my Tygers up close, us vibing, talking to each other,” she said.

    The “APOP” World Tour supports Tyla’s second studio album, APOP, released on July 24, 2026. The 34-date tour marks her first headline run across Europe, the UK, North America and Africa.

    The tour kicked off at Zénith Paris in France on October 12, before moving through Amsterdam, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stockholm and Oslo. Copenhagen is scheduled for November 1.

    The North American leg begins on November 12 in Wheatland, California, with further stops in San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Brooklyn, Washington, DC, Tampa, Atlanta, Irving, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

    The chart debut comes shortly after the singer’s latest release, “INFERNO”, featuring Zlatan and Shoday, opened at No. 1 with 499,225 streams. The performance marked Peruzzi’s highest single-day streaming total on Spotify.

    Released in 2018, “Majesty” also featured Big Brother Naija star CeeC in its music video, where she played Peruzzi’s love interest. Their on-screen pairing sparked dating rumours that followed the two for some time.

    The song’s appearance on the chart comes amid renewed attention around Peruzzi following the release of “INFERNO”.

    The song opened with 499,225 streams on its first day, debuting at No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria’s Daily Top Songs chart. The figure marks Peruzzi’s biggest streaming day on the platform to date.

    “INFERNO” brings together Peruzzi, Zlatan and Shoday, with production credited to Fresh VDM and Irock Classic. The track was released on October 29, 2026.

    Beyond its Spotify debut, the song also reached No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Songs chart on October 30.

    The opening-day performance gives Peruzzi a new personal streaming record, while the collaboration marks a strong first-day showing for the three artists.

    BLOSSII is the sister of Afrobeats star Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor.

    Rema, who was born in Benin City, Edo State, rose to prominence in 2019 following the release of his self-titled debut EP and songs including “Dumebi”. He is signed to Mavin Records and Jonzing World.

    “Wait” marks BLOSSII’s first official single under her professional name.
