Nigerian artist Smuuv has released “Casper (Friendly Ghost),” a 2-minute, 32-second track from his four-song project SOJO.
The release also includes “No Drama,” “SMV” and “Mama (Demo),” with “Casper (Friendly Ghost)” opening the tracklist.
Smuuv is a Benin City-based Afrosounds artist whose previous releases include “Face My Fear,” “FURTHER I GO,” “Rockstar” and “SMV.”

Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist François Marius has released “Reggae Loco,” a collaboration with vocalist and guitarist Bérénice that combines reggae with Latin pop.
The track is built around a reggae rhythm, guitar-led melodies and shared vocals from Marius and Bérénice. Their arrangement brings together the reggae foundation with Latin-influenced elements, continuing the crossover approach found across Marius’ recent releases.
“Reggae Loco” appears on Marius’ 2026 project “Loco Despacito,” which also includes acoustic, bachata and reggaeton versions of the song.
Marius has released several projects in recent years, including “Jah Bamba Odyssey” and “Jah Love” in 2025, followed by “Que Siga La Fiesta” and “Born To Be Alive” in 2026. His music draws from reggae, Latin pop and other contemporary styles.
The collaboration with Bérénice extends across his recent catalogue, with the pair also credited on vocals and guitars on earlier releases.

Nigerian artist Miklex has released “Og,” the closing track from his five-track EP “SECOND SON.”
Released on January 22, 2026, “SECOND SON” features “Trouble,” “Ego,” “Fire,” “Solid” and “Og,” which runs for 3 minutes and 39 seconds.
“Og” is the fifth and final track on the project, following “Solid.”

Nigerian artist Wrecobah has released a new single, “Black Sheep.”
His catalogue includes collaborations with Phyno and Flavour, including “Mr Successful” with Phyno and “Turn Me On” with Flavour. He has also released the EP “This Na Coco,” alongside several singles.
Wrecobah, whose recorded work spans Afrobeats and other contemporary African sounds, has also appeared on releases with artists including Tico, Akuvi and Love Jimo. His earlier catalogue includes collaborations with Phyno and Flavour.
“Black Sheep” is Wrecobah’s latest release, following “Excellency,” which was released in 2025.

London-based independent artist and producer VOS has released “My Ride or Die,” an Afro House track about friendship and chosen family.
The song is built around a steady groove, layered percussion and a recurring chorus, with lyrics centred on loyalty and the relationships that endure over time.
A music video accompanies the release, set against a rainy London night and featuring warm indoor scenes, reflective streets and a blue performance car. VOS appears in the video alongside a real-life friend.
VOS works across Afro House, Sahara House and Melodic House, handling writing, production, mixing, mastering and visual direction on his releases.

Arin Rebo has released “Oarfish Ascending,” a minimalist piano piece inspired by the Japanese folklore surrounding the oarfish, a deep-sea fish traditionally associated with omens of earthquakes.
The track approaches the legend from a quieter perspective, using piano to explore the idea of a messenger that is unaware of the meaning humans attach to its presence. The oarfish itself is indifferent to the earthquake, becoming a symbol of events unfolding beyond its understanding.
“Oarfish Ascending” follows Rebo’s previous single “The Shark and the Seagull,” continuing the artist’s use of ocean mythology as a source for musical ideas.

South African EDM producer Undertone has released a new single, “Feel Good.”
Released on August 28, the track runs at 125 BPM and is built around a short vocal sample, upbeat electronic production and prominent synth stabs. Undertone also increased the snare volume to give the drums more impact and reinforce the track’s dancefloor-oriented sound.
The producer says the track developed after finding a short sample with simple lyrics, which he used as the basis for a new production. He had also been working on an aggressive synth-stab idea and decided to incorporate it into the track.
“Feel Good” reflects Undertone’s approach to electronic music, combining contemporary EDM production with elements drawn from retro sounds.

Abrantie Simms and Ess Thee Legend have released “Finding My Rhythm EP 1,” a four-track project that draws from Highlife while incorporating contemporary Afrobeats, Soul, Afropop, Dancehall and Hip-Hop influences.
The EP opens with “Adwuma Wura,” a song centred on ambition and purpose, before moving into the more personal “Kanea,” which touches on friendship, love and relationships. “Way You Move,” featuring $pacely, brings a more contemporary feel, while “Testing Me (So Electric)” closes the project with a blend of soulful and genre-crossing elements.
The project brings together Abrantie’s Ghanaian musical perspective and Ess Thee Legend’s soulful vocal style across the four tracks. Rie Osei and Marince Omario also appear on the EP, alongside $pacely.
Rather than recreating an older Highlife sound, “Finding My Rhythm EP 1” places elements associated with the genre—including melody, storytelling and collaborative musicianship—within a contemporary setting.

Dangote Refinery opened its public offer on September 14, offering 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 each. The minimum subscription is 10 shares, priced at ₦5,250, with the offer scheduled to close on October 13.
