    Senegalese singer-songwriter Bijou is making her entry into the music industry with the release of her debut single “Moon”

    Inspired by the likes of Lauryn Hill? Bob Marley and Rihanna, Bijou combines reggae, rock, RnB and other genres to form her own unique sound.

    Carried by a production that blends minimal and vibrant electronic and acoustic textures, “Moon” gently explores the shadows like a haunting whisper.

    A fragile, soulful sound reminiscent of Lauryn Hill, Arlo Parks and the understated elegance of Sevdaliza.

    Senegalese Artist Is Alhakim Shares Conscious Rap Single “Nuages Noirs”

    Senegalese rapper Is Alhakim, is set to make a name for himself as one of Africa’s conscious music stars with the release of his rap single Nuages Noirs”

    The independent rapper from the Senegalese city of Pikine describes the track  as “conscious and committed rap piece that speaks openly about the manipulation, injustice, war, and suffocated hope currently faced by Africans 

    “Through this song, I denounce what’s being hidden from us and reach out to those who still believe in unity and truth,” Alhakim explains “It’s raw, conscious rap — made to awaken, not to entertain”
