Guadeloupean Producer Motsek and Zimbabwean Singer Lalla Martin Collaborate on Afro House EP “Echoes of Us”

Guadeloupean Producer Motsek have collaborated on an Afro House EP “Echoes of Us” which also features Julien Mercies

Rooted in Afrohouse, this four-track project weaves an emotional story where electronic textures meet ancestral echoes.

“It begins with Siyakuphi, a haunting question in Lalla’s native tongue: Where are we going? A raw reflection on a youth lost to addiction and silence — the echo of a world adrift, searching for direction, meaning, and a way back home.”

Then comes The Other Side, a luminous love song in English — a moment of warmth and intimacy where two souls mirror one another beyond time and borders. The trumpet of Julien Mercier runs parallel to the melody, like a distant signal, never overpowering, always present.

The EP closes with Lost in Harare, a powerful instrumental led by a striking dialogue between Motsek’s production and Mercier’s trumpet. Here, the brass takes center stage, soaring and searching, carrying the emotional weight of memory, longing, and release.

American Singer Elend Winthrop Releases Emotionally Charged EP ‘Your Heroes Hate You Too’

American singer Elend Winthrop is back with a new EP Your Heroes Hate You Too.

The Seattle artist’s latest is an explosion of pent-up energy, perfecting her signature blend of intimate lyricism and electronic exploration.

Sophia Brusasco had spent much of her life learning to express her inner life through music, but when she debuted the Winthrop persona, she was able to truly tap into her authenticity for the first time.

Across five genuinely unpredictable tracks, she fully realizes the potential hinted at by her first singles. While a lifelong fascination with trap and dubstep has always been at the heart of her sound, these new songs also showcase a keen pop sensibility.

“It may be confusing, but that’s by design,” she says. “These songs came from some confusing situations.”

The EP’s title track is perhaps the most poignant of the producer’s young career. It’s her most intricately produced, layering her vocals into a mesmerizing sound.

  • UK Afrobeats Artist Olorunfemi Shares “Díónì” — A Space-Driven Track  from His ‘Saturn’ EP

UK Afrobeats Artist Olorunfemi Shares “Díónì” — A Space-Driven Track  from His ‘Saturn’ EP

UK-based Afrobeats artist and sonic explorer Olorunfemi continues to expand his celestial discography with “Díónì”, one of the most soulful tracks off his 2023 Saturn EP.

Inspired by Dione, a serene yet rugged moon of Saturn, the track blends meditative chords, subtle textures, and rhythmic swing into a quiet, drifting masterpiece.

“Díónì” is a moment of pause — like observing motion from afar. Rich in nuance and laced with atmospheric clarity, the track stands as a gentle contrast to the gravity of Ìápétùsì or the punch of his earlier Mars EP.

It’s a soulful reminder of presence in isolation.

“Díónì is about movement through stillness,” says Olorunfemi. “It’s about holding grace even when you’re far from the warmth — finding rhythm in distance.”

“Díónì”  forms part of Olorunfemi’s expanding series of thematic EPs — from the dusty heat of Mars, the cinematic stretch of Jupiter, the weighty introspection of Saturn, to the dreamy intimacy of his latest project, the Moonlight EP.

Together, the releases trace a multidimensional story through sound.
