    Nigerian singer and songwriter Lord Manny has released “WIRE,” a new Afrobeats single centred on connection, resilience and the determination to keep moving forward.

    The song combines contemporary Afrobeats rhythms with prominent drums, melodic passages and a recurring hook. Its central idea is about staying connected to personal goals and the people who matter, even while navigating challenges.

    “With WIRE I wanted to create something that makes people move but also feel something,” Lord Manny says. “It’s about staying connected to your goals and your people.”

    Based in Port Harcourt, Lord Manny makes Afrobeats and Afrofusion music, incorporating soul and storytelling into his songwriting. His work focuses on relatable experiences and melodic hooks.

    “WIRE” precedes Lord Manny’s debut EP, which is scheduled for release in September 2026.

Rather than focusing on a single moment or circumstance, “REMEMBER” centres on the importance of staying grounded, continuing to pursue one’s goals and remaining conscious of the person one wants to become.

    Its themes of perseverance and purpose give the song an introspective dimension, while the rhythmic production keeps the record connected to the melodic and dance-oriented qualities of contemporary African music.

    Pshowpray is a Nigerian songwriter, recording and performing artist from Akwa Ibom. His catalogue includes releases such as “Sempe,” “No Off Days,” “Sare” and the 2024 EP PREFACE.

    Emerging Nigerian artist Phranchor explores self-belief, ambition and the desire for more on his latest single, “Underrate.”

    The Afrobeats, Afropop and Dancehall record centres on the idea that people should not allow their present circumstances or the opinions of others to determine their sense of worth. Its message is aimed at anyone who feels they deserve more from life and believes that reaching that point is a matter of time and persistence.

    “Underrate” takes a self-affirming approach to ambition, with Phranchor using the song to express confidence in his own potential. The verses were influenced by lessons he took from studying Wizkid’s music, while the chorus draws inspiration from the strength of Burna Boy’s vocal delivery on one of his records. Phranchor is clear, however, that these influences are part of his learning process rather than an attempt to recreate either artist.

    Produced, mixed and mastered by ThankG, the record combines Afrobeats rhythms with Afropop and Dancehall influences.

    Phranchor, born Aliakor Franklin Chidiebere, is a Lagos-based Nigerian artist of Imo State origin. He wrote his first song in JSS1 and spent years developing his songwriting and performance before making his public debut in 2026.

    His debut single, “Tinted,” was followed by his first EP, introducing a catalogue shaped by vocal dexterity, lyricism and creative rhyme schemes. Phranchor aims to build a diverse body of work that gives listeners music that reflects both how they feel and how they want to feel.

    UK-based Nigerian producer Jideone brings together Afrobeats, Grime, Hip-Hop and R&B on “Nobody Knows,” a collaboration featuring Afrobeats artist JEJE and London rapper Sir Maz.

    Produced by Jideone, the track connects his Nigerian roots with the sounds of the UK music scene. JEJE opens the record with smooth Afrobeats melodies over rhythmic percussion, while Sir Maz brings a rap-focused performance that adds another dimension to the production.

    The contrast between their approaches gives “Nobody Knows” its musical structure, moving between melodic passages and rap verses while Jideone’s production connects the different elements through layered percussion, textured beats and transitions.

    The song reflects Jideone’s work across genres and his interest in bringing different musical influences together. His production background spans more than a decade, beginning with music-making through school and college connections in Nigeria. Originally known as JD Production, he adopted the name Jideone in 2007 before continuing his work in the UK.

    Jideone has production and co-production credits with UK and international artists including Dizzee Rascal, Skepta, Giggs, Novelist, AJ Legacy and Tiz East. He also operates his own studio and has collaborated with engineers including SaharaBeatz, Kbillz and 705.

    “Nobody Knows” was released just over a year ago and brings together three artists working across different parts of the UK and African music landscape.
