Boy Band BMD have released a new single “Wakalojaiye” off their debut album “Rebirth”
The title is quite fitting for the group which comprises of childhood friends Maloney, Daniel popularly called Dinero and rapper Gabriel aka Big Dela.
It was originally was formed in the early 90s under the name Soul Sensation in Ajegunle, the popular Lagos slum that has produced some of Nigeria’s most famous entertainers and footballers.
Their debut project “High Tension” was released in 2007, albeit with little commercial success, mainly due to their limited funding.
The group disbanded shortly after with each of them pursuing their solo career. But have now returned as BMD after getting signed by their new label Culture Stock.

Born Emmanuel Azubike Udeogu, in Delta State, the artist and producer was raised in Ajegunle, the popular Lagos slum that has produced some of Nigeria’s most famous entertainers and footballers.
