American artist jcSubterfuge has released a new single “Obsession” loosely based on his experience with a fan who frequently tried to communicate with him on social media and even showed up at his shows with strange gifts for him.
“Please understand that I am extremely happy if even one person likes one of my tracks but calling me their babe on Social Media, etc. on a daily basis is a bit creepy,” jcSubterfuge explains.
“Needless to say I had to politely ask her to stop and you can hear my interpretation of how the conversation went about 2 minutes, 55 seconds into the track.”
“Obsession” opens with a hypnotic, pulsating bassline that immediately draws the listener in. The signature breakbeats of jungle and drum and bass kick in, creating a powerful, high-octane rhythm that is both exhilarating and impossible not to dance to.
”I wanted to create something that pushed the boundaries of what people expect from electronic music,” says the Detroit-born artist . “’Obsession’ is about the feeling of being completely consumed by something or someone, and I tried to translate that intensity into the music. The combination of jungle, drum and bass, and pop felt like the perfect way to express that chaotic yet beautiful feeling.”
Khomenko’s music has been featured in several television series. Some of his most popular works include Worst friend (2020), “Elena Beautiful” (2021), “Who Will You Behave With” (2021) and “Adventure for Two” (2022).
LX8 has just released “Ghosts of Sound – TANIT TRANCE ANTHEM”, a euphoric dance track of synth pads, darbouka drum, Berber flute and oud, steeped in the sensory Mediterranean soundscape of ancient Carthage and its Phoenician goddess Tanit.
A mystical sonic journey from coastal Lebanon to the Maghreb and the island of Ibiza, immersing listeners into the science fiction world of the alternative history novel series THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES, created and written by Henry Chebaane, the artist behind the LX8 (Life x Infinity) project.
This new mix of his cult dance track GHOSTS OF SOUND is an arm-waving, euphoric trance number that comes in two flavours: a six-minute sprawling club mix and a shorter radio edit of four minutes. Both tracks form part of a forthcoming double LP, a concept album steeped in the lore of his graphic novels.
The song Ghosts of Sound is the title of vol.2 in the graphic novel series, due to be published early 2026 by SUPANOVA MEDIA. This second book and related songs follow on from the acclaimed first novel TIMES OF LONDON, published in 2023.
THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES narrate the story of Alex Campbell, a multi-cultural female music composer who struggles with a conflicted identity, a traumatic past and repressed supernatural abilities while fighting a violent supremacist cult through Time.
In the novel Ghosts of Sound, Alex – a DJ and EDM producer, travels back to the 19th century and uses electronic dance music to boost the courage of a community of immigrants fighting off a tyrannical imperialist power.
The novel is a blend of science-fiction, horror, and alternative history that invites questions about contemporary social issues; spiced by hints of humour, pop culture and references that will appeal to dance music lovers of all genres.
LX8 is the musical alias for French-British songwriter, artist, author, filmmaker and designer Henry Chebaane.
A recent arrival on the EDM scene, LX8 music style defies easy description but can be summarised as a “sonic quest into the human consciousness and the nature of reality.” A fan of house and trance music of the last four decades, LX8 wants to keep these sounds alive and inclusive for a new generation of global listeners from all cultures.
The concept double LP is a sonic exploration of The Panharmonion Chronicles story and its speculative universe, blending euphoric trance and melodic techno with dark cinematic drama, layered sound design and experimental synth textures.
As an award-winning multimedia storyteller, Henry Chebaane also produces and directs his own videos, often set in locations he has designed himself.
