    Zerry DL Makes Runway Debut for Oshobor at Lagos Fashion Week

    Nigerian singer Zerry DL made his runway debut at Lagos Fashion Week, walking for Nigerian fashion label Oshobor.

    The singer appeared in an orange cropped top paired with grey trousers and a short orange raffia skirt layered over the trousers. He completed the look with his signature red hair.

    His appearance was part of Oshobor’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled The Night Has Come. The collection explores themes of spirituality, emotion and celebration, drawing on Benin cultural influences and incorporating traditional references into contemporary silhouettes.

    Designed by Peter Oshobor, the collection marked the label’s tenth body of work. It featured a range of pieces that combined cultural elements with modern tailoring and experimental styling.

    D’banj Shares Emotional Tribute to Late Son Daniel

    Nigerian singer D’banj has shared an emotional tribute to his late son, Daniel, who died in June 2018.

    The singer also posted a series of old photographs of himself with Daniel, including one showing him changing his son’s diaper. The pictures offered a glimpse into their time together before Daniel’s death at the age of one.

    In his tribute, D’banj reflected on fatherhood, family and the impact of losing his son. He also acknowledged his wife, expressing his understanding of the loss they experienced together and noting that their family is now in a safer and more settled place.

    “I miss you Daniel D3rd my son and trust me I can’t imagine how your mother feels but we are in a Safe Space now THANK YOU,” he wrote.

    He also thanked Daniel for the lessons his life had taught him, adding that he hoped his son would be proud of the family he left behind.

    “Thank you for Showing me what life Really is as a WHOLE,” the singer wrote.

    Daniel, affectionately referred to as D3rd by his father, died in a drowning incident at the family’s home in Ikoyi, Lagos, in 2018. D’banj and his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow, have since welcomed two more children.

    The singer ended his message by expressing his enduring love for Daniel and signing off as “Daniel D2nd Lee.”

    Davido Reproposes to Chioma in ‘Already Falling’ Music Video

    Davido has released the music video for “Already Falling,” featuring his wife, Chioma Adeleke. The video revisits the couple’s relationship, with the singer proposing to Chioma again in a scene that echoes his original proposal in 2019.

    The release adds to the couple’s appearances in Davido’s music videos, following “Assurance,” released in 2018, and “1 Milli,” released in 2020. Both videos featured Chioma and centred on their relationship.

    “Assurance” arrived as Davido publicly celebrated their relationship, while “1 Milli” explored themes of commitment and marriage. The new video continues that thread, placing their relationship at the centre of the visuals.

    Davido and Chioma first met in 2013 while he was studying at Babcock University. Their relationship became publicly known in 2018, and Davido proposed to her in London in September 2019.

    The couple legally married in March 2023, held their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, and celebrated their white wedding in Miami, Florida, in August 2025. The Miami ceremony brought together family, friends and guests from the entertainment industry.

    “Already Falling” was released as a song on July 31, 2026. Its music video places Chioma alongside Davido once again, with the renewed proposal serving as a central moment in the visuals.

    The track explores themes of resilience, hope and the pursuit of a better future, with lyrics centred on staying focused through periods of uncertainty and difficulty.

    IRON describes his sound as a blend of Afro-Fusion and Afro-Pangolo, with influences from Amapiano and R&B. His music draws on personal experiences and local expression, with an emphasis on everyday themes.

    Sydney Sharp Explores Loss and Healing on “Bamboo in the Rain”

    American singer-songwriter and pianist Sydney Sharp has released a new single “Bamboo in the Rain” The single blends Afrobeat-inspired rhythms with R&B and cinematic production, exploring the experience of losing a relationship without receiving closure.

    Written with film in mind, the track centres on the idea of accepting an ending as a necessary step towards moving forward. Its vulnerable vocal delivery and layered instrumentation are designed to create an immersive atmosphere, tracing a shift from the pain of separation towards the possibility of healing.

    Sharp developed the song with musician, engineer and producer Alex Enamorado, who used an Akai MPC to build the track’s layered textures. The pair have previously collaborated on songs including “Ghost in My Bed”, “PeaceMan”, “Don’t Pick Me” and “Run” for Sharp’s project Resonate.

    “Bamboo in the Rain” is the sixth single from Resonate, a project through which Sharp explores the intersection of R&B, pop and Afrobeat-inspired sounds. Her musical background includes classical piano, choir performances and pop songwriting, while her lyrics often focus on relationships and human connection.

    The new single continues these themes through a story about unresolved loss and the decision to let go without having all the answers.
