Kojo Osei turns the story of meeting his wife into “Falling Slow”

Atlanta-based Ghanaian-American artist Kojo Osei has released “Falling Slow,” an Afro-Soul and R&B single inspired by the first time he met his wife and the feelings that have remained since.

The song brings together smooth R&B vocals, Afro-Soul rhythms and lyrical influences drawn from Osei’s Ghanaian-American background. Its intimate approach places the focus on love, connection and the experience of recognising something meaningful in another person.

“Falling Slow” reflects Osei’s interest in writing from lived experience. Rather than presenting love as an abstract idea, the song traces it back to a specific memory and the emotions that grew from it.

The release also reflects Osei’s broader musical identity, which brings contemporary R&B together with African rhythms and soul. Based in Atlanta, the independent artist writes and produces his music under his own imprint, Osei Music Group / Sonic Motion Productions, with his catalogue exploring themes of love, culture and personal connection.

Osei says he writes his songs himself and handles the production process, including beat creation, melody, mixing and mastering. His press materials also note that AI is used to assist with aspects of music production.

“Falling Slow” was released on April 7, 2026, and is available now on major streaming platforms.
