David Givens has released a new single titled “Ghost”.
The track is described as a fusion of synth-pop, electronic production, and Afropop-influenced rhythms. It features cinematic melodies, dance-driven electronic instrumentation, and an anthemic structure.
“Ghost” explores themes of confronting memories, past identities, and emotional weight. The song focuses on the process of moving forward while dealing with personal history and unresolved experiences.
The release follows Givens’ earlier body of work, including his project “Electric Kingdom: Evolution”, and comes during a period of continued activity as an independent artist. He has previously received recognition including the 2024 Metro Music Awards Pop Artist of the Year and a 2025 Pop Smash Radio Music Award.
“‘Ghost’ is about confronting the things that refuse to die,” Givens said. “Sometimes the biggest ghosts aren’t people — they’re old fears, old mistakes, old identities, and old wounds. This song is about finally facing them instead of running.”
David Givens is based in South Carolina, with the single originating from Green Pond.
“Ghost” by David Givens is available on streaming platforms.
