MENTAVIBE blends Afro-Pop and Afro-House on “SALALA”
Independent music project MENTAVIBE has released “SALALA”, a track combining Afro-Pop, Afro-House and electronic dance music.
Produced and written by Juergen Joe Bauer, the song is built around percussion-led rhythms, electronic production and Swahili vocal hooks. Its arrangement combines melodic elements with a steady dance-oriented groove.
“SALALA” is part of MENTAVIBE’s broader approach of combining African-inspired rhythms and Swahili lyrics with contemporary electronic production.
The project is created and produced independently by Bauer.

George Micheal Gilto has released his new single “No Distance Tonight”, a genre-blending track that brings together Afro-Pop, Afro House and Amapiano influences.
The track uses a vocal-led arrangement with layered instrumentation and a dance-oriented rhythmic foundation. Gilto describes his music as genre-fusing, with his work also spanning R&B, electronic and dance music.
That genre-crossing approach is consistent with Gilto’s broader work as a singer-songwriter, producer and independent artist. The Sudanese-Egyptian-Australian musician works across Afro-Pop, R&B, electronic and dance music, often using melody and production as points of connection between styles.
“No Distance Tonight” also comes from an AI-assisted production process. According to Gilto, AI tools are incorporated into his workflow, while the creative direction, arrangement, quality control and final decisions remain under his direction. It places the track within a growing conversation around how independent artists are incorporating assistive technology into contemporary music-making without removing human decision-making from the process.

Mahakwe has released a new Afro-pop single titled No Wonder, produced by Nigerian producer Spellz.
The track is built on mid-tempo Afro-pop production, with smooth melodic lines, layered percussion, and a steady rhythmic groove.
Spellz is credited with the production. His production catalogue includes collaborations with artists such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tiwa Savage.

Born Samuel Nyarko Kwabena Okletey, Exo Xan is a Ghanaian Afro-fusion singer and musician.
Before gaining recognition, he had long been involved in music from a very young age. In his senior year at Accra Academy’s class of 2018, he won the prestigious “Artist of the Year” award, demonstrating his burgeoning musical aptitude and passion for music.
His 2019 EP “Diabolo” was well-received by his fans. Exo Xan has worked with luminaries such as Black Sherif, BiQo, $pacely, and Samsney over the course of his career.
The singer uses his music and platform to advocate for various social problems. Having an ever-expanding fan base, taking them on a journey of emotional connection, which he has established through his unyielding dedication to his craft.
