    Lord Manny explores connection and perseverance on Afrobeats single “WIRE”

    Nigerian singer and songwriter Lord Manny has released “WIRE,” a new Afrobeats single centred on connection, resilience and the determination to keep moving forward.

    The song combines contemporary Afrobeats rhythms with prominent drums, melodic passages and a recurring hook. Its central idea is about staying connected to personal goals and the people who matter, even while navigating challenges.

    “With WIRE I wanted to create something that makes people move but also feel something,” Lord Manny says. “It’s about staying connected to your goals and your people.”

    Based in Port Harcourt, Lord Manny makes Afrobeats and Afrofusion music, incorporating soul and storytelling into his songwriting. His work focuses on relatable experiences and melodic hooks.

    “WIRE” precedes Lord Manny’s debut EP, which is scheduled for release in September 2026.

    At the centre of the song is gratitude. Rather than presenting success solely as a personal achievement, Da Chris frames it through his faith, acknowledging God as part of the journey and expressing appreciation for how far he has come.

    “Dodo” adds a reflective dimension to Da Chris’s catalogue while maintaining a connection to the indigenous sounds that inform his musical identity.

    Da Chris, whose real name is Daniel Christian, is a Nigerian singer from Rivers State. According to his press kit, his involvement in music began at a young age, initially through the brigade drum in 2010, before he developed his vocal and songwriting abilities.

    He later began pursuing music professionally, releasing his debut record “Loli,” featuring Dizzy, in 2020. The press kit describes the release as an early step in his professional career before his subsequent work with London Boyz.

    His music has incorporated African drums, acoustic guitar, saxophone and piano, reflecting his interest in combining traditional African instrumentation with contemporary production.

Her tennis career ended after injuries, after which she pursued law and moved into the record business.

    Her professional life later expanded into education and entrepreneurship. She founded a higher education facility in China and subsequently became one of the youngest college presidents in the United States, according to her biography. She also launched the luxury brand Nicolas of Palm Beach while continuing to develop her music under the name Eylsia Nicolas.

    Her return to recording followed another period of personal difficulty. After a period of intense professional pressure and rehabilitation, Nicolas turned towards education and later returned to the music ambitions she had previously put aside. Her biography also describes the impact of COVID-19 on her health and her subsequent work to restore her singing voice.

    Those experiences inform the perspective behind “Ashes On the Wind.” Rather than simply recounting her own story, Nicolas uses the new release to consider the wider human experience, including the privileges people may have, the struggles others face and the need to remain conscious of both.
