  • Stephanie Saint-Come explores the rush of love at first sight in “Palpitations”

Stephanie Saint-Come explores the rush of love at first sight in “Palpitations”

Haitian-American artist Stephanie Saint-Come has released “Palpitations,” a song based on a poem by Haitian author Ronald Painson. Produced with Grammy Award-winning Jamaican-American producer Major Seven, the track combines Afrobeat and dancehall influences with a ballad structure.

Painson, who is originally from Pétion-Ville, Haiti, and now lives in Canada, wrote the poem about the physical and emotional response associated with falling in love at first sight. Stephanie Saint-Come initially understood the poem to be titled “Mon Corps,” or “My Body,” before learning that its actual title was “Palpitations.” The title refers to the racing heart and involuntary physical sensations described in the work and carries the same meaning in English and French.

The song’s accompanying visual was directed by Miami-raised filmmaker Gil Green. Its narrative uses an elevator sequence as a transition between the routine of working life and a heightened emotional state. The elevator set was constructed at Greynolds Park for the production.

Additional scenes were filmed at Miami’s Hurrem Hammam, where the setting of a Turkish bath provides the backdrop for the song’s exploration of fantasy and desire. Cinematographer Joe Labisi, ASC, filmed Stephanie Saint-Come in the location’s interior spaces.

“Palpitations” was released on September 11, 2026, and is available on streaming platforms.

loveoleglove releases new single “Inspiration (Reimagined)”

Independent electronic project loveoleglove has released “Inspiration (Reimagined),” a progressive electronic and melodic house track built around themes of creativity, landscape and self-discovery.

The song takes inspiration from the Scottish Highlands, using images of dawn, sunset and open landscapes to explore the relationship between place and creativity. Its central idea is that inspiration can come from nature, new people and unfamiliar experiences, while also existing within the individual.

Musically, “Inspiration (Reimagined)” combines progressive electronic production with organic instrumentation. Violin, cello, guitar and harp appear throughout the arrangement, alongside a bagpipe-inspired motif.

Rather than relying on a single prominent drop, the track develops gradually, with instrumental layers and vocal phrases interacting as the arrangement progresses.

The release is a reimagined version of an earlier track, expanding its original concept through a different arrangement and emotional approach.

“Inspiration (Reimagined)” was released on September 11, 2026 and is available on streaming platforms.
