Nigerian-Italian artist Kaijoski has released his new single “Strive,” a genre-blending record that combines Afrobeats, rap, and synthwave influences through a modern Afrofuturist lens.
Born in Turin to Nigerian parents, Kaijoski uses his music to explore the experience of living between multiple cultural identities. His sound merges hip hop, afro-inspired rhythms, soul, and electronic experimentation while drawing visual and creative inspiration from manga, street culture, and the wider African diaspora.
“Strive” reflects themes of resilience, ambition, and artistic reclamation, presenting a futuristic but emotionally grounded perspective on diaspora identity. Built on atmospheric production and rhythmic energy, the track balances introspective storytelling with a cinematic, forward-looking sound.
The single serves as an introduction to Kaijoski’s upcoming EP, scheduled for release in June, and continues his exploration of Afrofuturism through contemporary African and global influences.
“Strive” by Kaijoski is out now on all streaming platforms.
