Vienna-based electronic project Manufracture Music has released “System Apathy,” a single by producer and sound designer Valerian Steel.
Rooted in EBM, industrial and darkwave, the track uses distorted electronic pulses and mechanical rhythms to explore technological collapse and societal indifference. It follows the project’s Analog Core Industrial (A.C.I.) approach, which centres on analog hardware and physical sound processing.
The accompanying music video uses AI-generated visuals to depict industrial ruins and machine-human imagery, extending the track’s themes of technological decay and the relationship between human creativity and machine-generated content.
