Released in Houston, Texas, the song explores both biological and chosen family, focusing on friends who become like brothers through shared experiences, support, and life challenges.
Musically, “My Brother” is built on smooth Afrobeats melodies and Afro-fusion-inspired production.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Caliph said:
